I have found a guy who is able to make us some ellipse templates, however it's only worthwhile if we make at least 10 sets. It will cost $130 for a set of 15 large ellipse templates, although this price could go down a little further if there are more orders.
Please let me know if you are interested in a set ASAP, as I'll only give him the go ahead once there are enough orders.
Thanks
Andrew

I'll conditionally say I'm interested, but I think we may want to scope out the Drawing Centre option they used last year.
Professional, high quality templates with all the markings for $160 seems more worth it than questionable quality sets for $130.
That said, even $130 is pretty pricey for me, so it's iffy either way. It's a shame quality has to revolve around money...

Hey Mike,
Can I order a large set of ellipse templates from Du-all online and pay with my credit card? If so, is it safe or should I call over the phone and order them that way? How long should I expect to wait until I will receive them?
Thanks,
Dan.

Hey Andrew; I'm interested in getting some ellipse guides, but I agree that if it's gonna cost $130, we might as well just get the same set the 3rd years got from Drawing center.
Are the 15 templates you're sourcing exactly the same as the onces from Drawing center in terms of degree range and sizes??

Hey Mike, Can I order a large set of ellipse templates from Du-all online and pay with my credit card? If so, is it safe or should I call over the phone and order them that way? How long should I expect to wait until I will receive them? Thanks, Dan. Hi Dan, I'm sure you can pay by credit card, but I've never used Du-All's website to buy anything from them. It's not that I don't trust the site's security, it's just that I've alwasy taken advantage of the trips I've made to Detroit and visited them personally. But if I were to order anything from them, I would probaby just do it over the phone. As for the shipping time, as long as they have what you're ordering in stock, it shouldn't take long. Maybe 7 to 10 business days. If your order isn't in stock, then your guess is as good as mine. But if it's any consollation, every time I've visited Du-All they always had at least one set of the ellipse templates in stock. Hope that helps. Mike

Hey, if drawing center will sell us ellipse templates for $160 then that may be a better option. I was under the impression that they would be over $200. Anyway, these would be professional quality templates if we do end up making them, however they wouldn't have the markings on them.

I think it might be a good idea for someone to call the Drawing Centre and find out how much they actually want for these ellipse templates, and how soon they can get them. Obviously, there's some confusion regarding how much this Drawing Centre place sells these ellipse templates for.
I for one agree - if the Drawing Centre has professional-quality sets for less than $200 each, and they include all the markings and sizes etc... then it might be a better option.
So who's gonna call the Drawing Centre and report back to us on Monday evening?
