Hi Klaud,
It's good to be back, and you're right - I am rusty. But that's normal for me... give me a couple of weeks (to get out a few uglies) and I'll back to normal... LOL!
I've seen some of your work in the display cases at Humber. Very impressive!
Drop by the class anytime.
Mike

Just got back from loomis and curry's looking for the "plug-in" power sharpener. Loomis had the best price at $45?!?! Seems a little pricey...maybe someone knows a better place to buy these for less $$$ or another option is to organize a group buy...anyone?

Try Grand & Toy or Staples Business Depot. They sell a lot more of these than any art store, so they will probably have them at a better price. Another option might also be eBay.
But even if Loomis is the cheapest price you can find, as long as the sharpener is a good make, it's worth it. I have both a Boston and a Panasonic electric pencil sharpener, and while both offer the similar featuers (automatic stop, etc...) I prefer the Boston unit. It seems to have a more powerful motor making it less prone to stopping if I push my pencil into it too hard.
Regardless, both still work fine so it's obviously not something that will be replaced frequently. So if you spend the money on a good one, chances are you'll have it for a long, long time.

Thanks for the advice Mike, I'm off to go buy a power sharpener now because sharpening is the reason why i prefer pen over the verithins.
